The Brown Mid Rib Silage Specialist
BMR Choice is a new Brown Mid Rib forage sorghum which has been specially bred to suit the silage market, and is unique to HSR Seeds.
It has achieved excellent results for a number of growers under various growing conditions.
In one of our farmer trials BMR Choice was grown under extremely tough dry land conditions for pit silage and still managed to yield 24.95 tonnes per hectare.
A sample of this silage was tested by CASCO for a feed analysis and came back with a protein of 8.6% and a Relative Feed Value (RFV) of 119.
BMR Choice can also be cut early when the plants are 1 metre to 1.5 metres in height to make very good quality hay.
